EQ Awakenings and Lisa Huhn operate in Medicine Hat, Alberta. Since the inception of Equinextion in 1996, we’ve treated every equine 'patient' like they were a part of our own treasured herd. We care to nurse them through the process of healing around the clock and with due care and attention.
Now accepting horses who need Xtra TLC through recovery of lameness or injury. Special care for those horses inflicted with Founder, navicular or catastrophic injuries that need attention and nursing through the healing process. We also provide with care and love Enhanced Natural Boarding.

This horse was tight in his entire body and was flighty and hard to catch. His posture changed dramatically during treatment and his attitude evolved to quiet and honest.
Rehabilitation and Healing are very individual to each horse and story and an individual program for each scenerio is drawn up upon time of arrival of the 'patient'. We encourage participation from the owner so that they may also watch and learn the healing process and what it will take to keep things moving forward. We invite you to stay at the center for a weekend a month to learn and visit with your horse.
Treatments include and are not limited to massage therapy and equine yoga classes, trim treatments, cardio boosting classes, agility and cognitive reasoning.
Pricing starts at $775 /month plus gst. Additional costs may be added depending on the needs of the horse, time of year, special diets or additional take home needs. What is included is all the food, and foot care you horse will need, as well as super foods for boosting health and wellness. Your horse will also under go EQ Yoga where he will learn to stretch and have massage/body work done with him/her.
